At our meeting in April 2019 Westerham Lodge had the honour to have Mark Estaugh, the Provincial Grand master of West Kent, “turn up” at our regular meeting .He did so to ensure the surprise for Bro Bob White one of our Brethren who, unbeknown to him, was to be promoted “in the field” by the PGM during the meeting.
His promotion, to PPGSwdB, came as a complete surprise to Bob and was in recognition of his long service to Freemasonry and Westerham Lodge in particular.
Bob had been a member and stalwart of Westerham Lodge for 49 years. He never wanted office progression but did serve as Senior Steward-he obviously enjoyed this role as he did it for 45 years. A role he diligently carried out including ensuring that his various cohorts of stewards over the years were properly prepared for going forward in Masonry.
